A StarChat is a Live Video Broadcast that can be hosted from anywhere in
the world. Able to host events from almost any device, Celebrities can now produce a 'one-to-many'
interactive experience SO intimate, it's like meeting them in person!
Viewers record video
questions which are then integrated moments later into the live production.
Questions are loaded into a 'dynamic queue' and answered in the order received, but
when Fans are too anxious to wait, our 'pledging' feature lets them attach
'bits' to a question and leap-frog to the front!
During an event,
'featured' questions are displayed within our Patented 'picture-in-picture'
feature inside the live feed.
All this (and too much more to mention) is the result
of over a decade of development which also led to the successful acquisition of over twenty-five
U.S. Patents. Please remember to be courteous and respectful of others, but above all
StarCam bits cost only 20-cents each and are available in five affordable packages starting as
little as $24.99. Bits are used to pay for events on a pay-per-minute basis and to advance a
question within the queue.
By attaching bits to your question, you can bounce further up
the line and cut in front of people who would otherwise have remained ahead of you.
If the event is charging for attendance by-the-minute, we call this the 'Bit-rate' and
bit-rates are clearly posted within each Event's details. However, bits are not debited
from your account until after the event starts and only while you are in attendance.
Therefore, if an event is scheduled for 60-minutes and posts a bit-rate of 2 bits/min, then it
should only cost you $24 to attend the entire event.
Actual event run-times may
differ from those published as StarChat events are produced independently by each Celebrity
Most StarCam events allow you to enter at least 45-minutes prior to the scheduled start time and
this is known as the "pre-event". The pre-event affords you time to record your
question without distraction and submit it early to secure a better 'natural' position
in queue. Many events typically charge for attendance by-the-minute, some charge a
flat-rate "Seat Reservation" or "Entry Fee" and yet others may be absolutely
Regardless of the fee scale implemented, it doesn't cost you anything to arrive
early. However, the pre-event affords you extra time to practice recording and reviewing
your question (or to record and submit multiple questions) and will likely result in a
better quality presentation.
If you finish recording early and have time to spare, we hope
you will sit back and enjoy our collection of vintage StarCam Celebrity interviews while you
wait for the main event to begin.
Record your video question, review it and if you're not satisfied, record it again!
StarChat Celebrity Hosts try to feature (and answer) as many questions as possible during
an event, therefore recordings are limited to 60-seconds in length. For this reason, we
encourage viewers to practice using the video recording feature until you're comfortable with
the process. When you are pleased with the outcome, upload your video to our 'dynamic
Questions are featured and answered in the order received, although the default
(or 'natural') order can only be altered by 'pledging' (attaching bits to your
question). Once your question has advanced to third place, no one else can jump
ahead of you because the first three positions are locked-in!
So get ready, you're about to
be "featured" in a LIVE StarCam Video Broadcast Production!
StarCam 'pledging' could be compared to bidding, however the term 'bidding'
implies there can be only one winner. With the StarChat pledging feature there can be
hundreds of 'winners' within every live event!
Imagine waiting in line at a rock
concert and paying security to move you up closer to the front. Then, someone you've cut in
front of pays to jump ahead of you! This is a very similar concept to our exclusive "dynamic
What makes this even more fun is that pledging is cumulative, so you can
start with a small amount and every time you add more bits to your pledge, you bounce closer to
the front. You can leap-frog all the way to the top!
Bits are only 20-cents each, so
you're not only 'stacking the odds in your favor' using pocket change, but altering the
outcome of a Live Video Broadcast and quite possibly... your own destiny!
StarCam events have pre-scheduled start-times and pre-determined durations. However, the
published dates, start times and duration of each StarChat event are selected and established by
the Celebrity Host.
The event's scheduled start time as well as any change in "status"
is displayed on the Event Details page leading up to the start of an event. Some events charge a
'one-time' Entry Fee, others charge by-the-minute (this is called the "Bit Rate"). If
an event is charging a Bit Rate, it is advisable to make sure you have a sufficient bit balance
to last the scheduled duration.
Bit rates are not charged until the live event starts and if you
leave early, bits are only debited from your account while you are in attendance. The best time
to record your questions, or top-up your available bit balance, is at least 15-minutes before an
event is scheduled to begin.
"You can't go around building a better world for people. People have to build a better world
for themselves... or it's just a cage!"

their favorite Stars.
We are committed to assisting StarChat Hosts in their efforts to

available. We sincerely hope you enjoy it!
